Based on the specific needs of a project, our corrosion specialists can design or assist our clients in the design of complete impressed current cathodic protection systems, integrating major state of the art components produced and engineered by STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES, including:

Power Supplies

Corrosion Monitoring

Designed to produce protective current for steel, STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES manufactures power supplies that:

  • deliver a wide and accurate range of current, to accommodate many different structural and environmental conditions
  • are configured into zones for precise control of protective levels
  • integrate with our proprietary remote control and monitoring

Anodes

Ribbon Installation

Designed to deliver protective current to where it is intended, our corrosion engineers help select the proper configuration and anode types(s) that may include:

  • Titanium mesh, wire, ribbon and probes
  • Platinized wire anodes
  • Metalized coatings
  • Conductive carbon mastic paint anodes

Remote Monitoring & Control

Our combination of proprietary control software and expert technical support allows STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES to produce and custom program the highest levels of ongoing monitoring and system controls. A monitoring system integrated an overall ICCP system allows for:

  • Remote operation and adjustment in power levels
  • Remote rapid assessment
  • Ongoing system maintenance
  • Reliable operation
  • Collection and storage of historical operation and performance data
  • Graphic and / or numerical alarms when operating and protective parameters are not reached or exceeded

STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES’ Corrosion Team provides highly specialized investigative and engineering services. Our team integrates with owners, engineers and builders to provide or assist in initial assessment and design – in order to identify the root cause of the corrosion and determine the proper solution for the individual application.

Corrosion Assessment

Corrosion assesmentSTRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES supports both our in-house and industry partners in condition assessment by performing a variety of evaluations to determine the extent of corrosion related damages. We draw upon the experience of our corrosion experts to interpret the data and ascertain the level of deterioration of a structure. In addition we evaluate the longevity of the structure based on its current condition and potential extension of its service life based on repair and/or installation of corrosion mitigation systems.

Assessment Services Include:
  • Comprehensive condition and/or corrosion assessments
  • Corrosion damage surveys
  • Corrosion rate analysis
  • Concrete contamination, including chloride and carbonation.
  • Concrete resistivity
  • Diagnostic services
  • Time to failure / chloride, carbonation modeling
