Adaptive reuse is gaining traction in the construction industry. It is a sustainable approach that can minimize environmental impact and revitalize existing spaces for communities.

The former headquarters of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) was repurchased for redevelopment, transitioning the structure for both commercial and residential use. This change necessitated extensive structural strengthening repairs. STRUCTURAL is navigating a challenging site environment, coordinating with multiple subcontractors through various construction phases and adapting to frequent schedule changes. The scope of work includes critical repairs, such as the installation of STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES’ CSS V-Wrap™ System and post-tensioning systems.

Despite the complexity of the project, including intricate coordination, the project is scheduled to successfully be completed on time.
