The McGraw Street Bridge, built in 1936, is a historic Seattle landmark. As part of the Move Seattle Levy to improve bridge safety, it underwent a major seismic retrofit.

STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES provided design support and used the CSS V-Wrap™ system—an innovative carbon fiber solution that significantly boosted the bridge’s load capacity and seismic resistance.

PULLMAN, an exclusive licensee of STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES, applied the CSS V-Wrap™ to the bridge deck and columns, along with installing new floor beam bolsters and infill walls.

This retrofit not only preserved the historic bridge but also enhanced its earthquake resilience, ensuring it will remain a key part of Seattle’s infrastructure for years to come.
