Ducon® Micro Reinforced Concrete Systems

DUCON® is an ultra-high-performance ductile concrete consisting of high strength cementitious matrix reinforced with 3D steel micro-mesh. The micro-reinforcement is uniformly distributed in the cross section creating a homogenous composite material with superior strength and ductility characteristics

Besides having high compressive and flexural strength, DUCON® is an extremely ductile material. The special composition of this patented system qualifies DUCON® as a multifunctional structural material with extraordinary security qualities, especially in the case of blast mitigation, retrofit and sealing of existing structures and new structures with high levels of security requirements.

Due to its self-compacting, flowable consistency DUCON® produces a very fine matrix structure. The results are very durable structures with high compressive strength and abrasion resistance as well as exceptional resistance to aggressive chemicals.

Applications

DUCON® properties can be adjusted for a specific applications by changing configuration, properties and quantity of the reinforcement and properties of the cement matrix.
